The Order of the Knights of the Southern Cross carries out a wide variety of works which vary from State to State.
Our Catholic faith is the foundation of the Order. The Order promotes the vocations, provides financial support for seminarians and assists with the implementation of projects in the local parishes.
Within the wider community, the Order supports and assists the aged, infirmed and the youth through financial and non-financial means.
The Order is a foundation member of the International Alliance of Catholic Knights (IACK); a non-governmental organisation officially recognised by the Vatican in accordance with the Code of Canon Law. Through IACK, the Order works with other Catholic men organisations to support the work of the Church in the wider community.
On 22 July 2008, the Order was granted Special Consultative Status by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations Organization. Through this status, the Order provides an Australian perspective on matters presented at the United Nations Organization.
If you would like to be part of a national organisation of Catholic men whose principal work involves helping those in need, we would like to meet you and invite you to join the Knights of the Southern Cross.
